Student voice PROGRAMME

Who it's for

Too often, diversity and inclusion training is done to young people, or done about them, but never by them. We do it differently. Our Student Voice Programme works with young people aged 14–25+ to co-design and deliver real EDI training to businesses. They become the facilitators. They set the agenda. They hold organisations accountable.

What we do

Over six to eight weeks, participants build the skills, language and confidence to walk into any professional space and be heard. They analyse real workplace case studies, develop their own training content, and pitch it live to a business panel. By the end, they leave with public speaking, facilitation and leadership on their CV, and the lived knowledge that their voice belongs in every room.

the proof

When we ran this at Coventry University, 83 young people applied for 20 places. That’s not a programme people feel obliged to attend, that’s one they fight to be part of.

Why it works

Young people from underrepresented backgrounds are often told their experience is a disadvantage. This programme inverts that entirely. Their perspective is the expertise. And businesses, if they’re serious about inclusion need to hear it directly.

ai angle

With AI reshaping every workplace, the skills that can’t be automated have never been more valuable: empathy, facilitation, the ability to hold a room. This programme builds exactly that, and in a context that is genuinely complex and human.
