SOUTH ASIAN ART PROGRAMME
Who it's for
Primary school pupils, teachers, and communities, delivered in schools and community settings across the UK.
What we do
We design and deliver sustained, curriculum-embedded arts programmes that centre South Asian culture, heritage and identity. Through hands-on workshops in Warli storytelling, Kantha stitch embroidery, Mandala diamond painting, Arabic calligraphy, Diya lamp-making, and Bhangra and Bollywood dance, young people explore who they are and where they come from, and see that reflected back at them, often for the first time.
Every programme culminates in a community exhibition. Every partnership is built to last.
We also work with teachers, building the confidence, knowledge and tools to embed anti-racist arts education into their curriculum long after we leave the classroom. 93% have grown in confidence in being anti racist and embedding this across their whole school approach.
Why it matters
Too often, the art taught in schools reflects only one part of the world. We're changing that. Not through one-off diversity days or tokenistic add-ons, but through deep, relationship-based work that shifts how schools think about culture, identity and belonging.
what we’ve delivered
Across our partner schools, we've achieved 89.9–99.9% positive engagement, consistently, across every setting we've worked in. We've delivered hundreds of workshops, trained artists, and staged community exhibitions that have brought families, local residents and civic leaders into schools to celebrate what young people have made.
